Dual Analog/PWM Output Programmable Linear IC

Allegro MicroSystems Corporation introduces a new dual analog/PWM output, one-time programmable, linear IC that enables the user to improve the device in a finished sensor assembly. Allegro’s A1359 linear IC provides a double tracking output, where the PWM output tracks the particular analog output to be able to within a ±3% mismatch. New software for linear result Hall Effect sensors, for example displacement and angular position demand high accuracy along with redundant outputs. Allegro’s new programmable linear device has been designed specifically to realize both goals.

This new device is directed at the automotive market with end apps to include electronic power steering (torque detecting), transmission component position, brake and clutch system cylinder position and various other industrial applications. The truth of the device is improved via programmability on the analogue output pin pertaining to end-of-line optimization without the added complexity and cost of your fully programmable system. The A1359 features One-Time-Programming (OTP), utilizing non-volatile memory, to enhance device sensitivity and the quiescent output voltage (QVO) and Duty Cycle (end result with no magnetic discipline) for a given program or circuit. What’s more, it allows for optimized performance over temperature via programming the temp coefficient for both sensitivity as well as QVO/DC at the end of line test.
