Hall Effect Sensors – DSR5 series

Premo have provided a new classes of Hall Effect sensors called DSR5 series, made for an individual supply voltage of +5V. The DSR5 household is a close loop technology component in a really small package for THT mounting. Primary winding has already been integrated, that allows to determine DC, AC and pulse currents on printed circuit boards.Key sign of this series is which includes another pin which allows accessibility to the internal reference (2.5V). This pin can be used an output or input signal to be utilized by microcontrollers providing better offset control at cero current.

This series has been made for nominal currents of 6, 15, 25 and 50A. The multi-pin configuration allows different selection of nominal currents by connecting 1, two or three pins mainly winding.

The output signal is centered at 2.5V by having an output voltage of ±0.625 V at nominal input currents, however the design allows detecting currents as much as 3 times nominal current.

Additionally supplies a linearity <0.1% with a ±0.7% accuracy levels. Bandwidth is up to 150 kHz with a response time below 0.5us. Offset drift versus temperature is as low as 0.3% mV/ºC and consumption of the circuit is only 20mA at no current condition.

The sensor is especially made to satisfy the highest safety requirements. It can be fully isolated with plastic housing, meeting isolation values greater than 3000 Vac. It can be fully compliant to below industrial standards.
