Hall Effect Sensors Work with Harsh Environments

Developed for space as well as other harsh environments, the Hall-effect sensor from TT Electronics OPTEK Technology works stable position sensing over a wide range of conditions while operating more than a broad range of supply voltages.

The bipolar latching sensors, specified the OMH3075B and OMH3075S Series, contain a Hallogic monolithic integrated enterprise, which incorporates a Hall factor, a linear amp and Schmitt trigger on a single silicon chip.

Supply voltage for the OMH3075 Series units is 4.5 V to 24 V, with up to 25 mA of kitchen sink current in the “on” state. Output characteristics tend to be constant at switching speeds from digicam to more than 100 kHz. Operating temperature assortment is -55°C to +125°C. Customized designs and specs are available to meet distinct individual requirements.

The OMH3075 sensors are screened-in to the test approaches per MIL-STD-883, Class N and Class S. The sensors have a platinum lead finish (a new lead finish in hot solder dip might be provided) and are in a hermetic ceramic package. They are compatible with warm (260°C) soldering processes. Typical rates for the sensors can be $17.98 each in quantities of 1000, are available within 12 weeks direct times.
